Tongass School started having Enrichment Day every Wednesday during the 2009-2010 school year, and it has been a great success! Students pick programs that interest them, many programs are taught by volunteers from the community with expertise in an area. Programs offered so far have included Drama, Technology, Roller Skating, Robotics, Yoga, Swimming, Guitar, Art, Dancing, Spanish, Video Production, Cooking, Sewing, and Tennis. Students rotate to new programs each trimester.
Technology students in the 2009-2010 school year created a music video. (13 MB, takes a while to load, QuickTime format) They also learned how to take pictures with a digital camera, and visited the different programs to capture the fun. Many of the photos that have been on the front page of the Tongass School web page were taken by students.
